Colonoscopy?

I have to have a colonoscopy in a week. My doctor said to purchase a bowel cleanser from my local drugstore. Can anyone recommend a good colon cleanser that will empty my bowels? What have you taken prior to having a colonoscopy?

I have not personally had one, but as a nurse, I know that magnesium citrate will do the job for you. It is a liquid that you drink the night before and it will clean you out pretty well
It’s magnesium citrate, it comes in a glass bottle as lemon or cherry flavor. You drink the entire bottle and that will empty out your bowels.
Don’t forget to follow the colonoscopy preparation paperwork. If you’re taking any blood thinners, consult with your doctor when to temporarily stop. And the day before, for best result, drink just water, don’t eat anything else.
I obviously don’t know your problem, but have you tried other therapies? I personally had chronic IBS for 10 years and still avoided having this type of test. It’s about as invasive as you can get, and if you do some web searching, it’s not all "plain sailing". For me, a naturopath using Vega Testing worked wonders. She found a bacteria and a parasite in my system, contracted in Africa. Once treated for both they cleared up and I haven’t had a problem since, nor have I had to had a colonoscopy either. Just a thought……???
Go to the pharmacy and ask the clerk for the colon cleanser. They usually keep the ones for the colonoscopy behind the counter.
Magnesium Citrate will clean your guts out. You will want to buy the good toilet paper for the days preceding the test as you’ll be wiping a lot.
