Ever since I had my gallbladder out in 2004, I’ve had major digestive issues and was recently diagnosed at an appointment with a gastroenterologist, as having IBS. Most days I feel terrible, sluggish. I heard colon cleansing helps with digestive issues and I’ve tried Dr. Natura’s Colonix and it was pretty good, I felt ok for about a month after having gone through that program, but now that it’s been a while, over a year since I finished the Dr. Natura’s Colonix, my IBS symptoms are back full force. I feel sluggish and terrible I can say, everyday now. I’ve recently been seeing some infomercials about a new product from Biomar. Anyone heard of it and/or tried it and know if it’s any good?

I was interested in doing colonix to cleanse my system and read this on the colonix site:
—-

Internal cleansing/detoxification is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women. A fetus or newborn baby should not be exposed to the toxins eliminated from the mother’s body while cleansing. The mother should wait until her baby is weaned completely.

—-

Now I can understand why it would be a bad idea for someone pregnant but why for someone breastfeeding. I currently nurse my 3 month old and would like to continue until he is 1 years old.
I thought the cleanse just cleans out your colon and Im not sure waht other "toxins" would be coming out of my body (are they saying through my milk???). If anyone has some insight, I would appreciate it.

I have a hard time believing that everybody is walking around with 5 or more pounds of compacted feces that just don’t pass through the system.

The website of the product Colonix has a picture gallery showing all sorts of gross things that supposedly came out of their customers asses, but I’m not too sure I believe it.

Are there any medical professionals out there who know if any of this is true, or maybe people who have first hand experience with these colon cleansing products? Have you seen long strings of undigested poo removed from your system?

I considered doing a colon cleanse such as Colonix to help with my constipation problem, but I decided that if most MDs think mucoid plaque is hooey and colon cleansing is unnecessary, I’m not going to buy into it. Instead, I started taking Metamucil (which is basically psyllium, a natural bulking agent used in many colon cleanses), and in addition to helping me finally have regular, soft BMs, it’s caused me to pass lots of gross rubbery ropes that look just like the photos of "mucoid plaque" on colon cleanse product websites. So what is this stuff, and do I need to get rid of it? Doctors do recommend fiber bulking agents like psyllium for constipation, so I think these results are probably good for me, but I just want to know what’s going on!

colonic or colon cleanse?

Would it be better to get a colonic or a colon cleanse product (such as colonix), and why?

Is The Master Cleanse Diet Safe?

I REALLY need to detoxify my body and I’ve been considering the Colonic Irrigation and the Master Cleanse diet routes. I wonder if either one is safe. Plus, I hear that you can lose a bunch of weight from this also! Please let me know if this is something that I should do. (Medical Professionals Especially!)
If someone could please give me some medical insight. i want to know which is better, Colonix or the Master Cleanse.

Does anyone have any experience with colon cleansing?

In particular Colonix? I found a website on this and it seems very convincing, but it also seems very scary! Please let me know if you have any experience with this or any other cleansing products

I am trying a natural alternative to help heal my psoriasis. The book (by John O.A. Pagano) recommends using high colonics or home enemas during the first couple months of dieting to help cleanse the colon. Since this book was originally published in 1991, I’m not sure how far along products such as Colonix or Bowtrol were (or if they even existed at all) and Dr. Pagano does not mention them in the book. From what I’ve read on the Internet, however, it appears to me these products have the same effect as a high colonic, and may even be safer and more effective.

I’ve seen Dr. Natura’s Colonix, and Dual-Action Cleanse, and some others of this stature, but they’re pretty expensive. Are there any other good ones

I have been on colonix for about a week and a 1/2 it works good. But I just wanted to know if anyone has lost any weight by taking this product. My boyfriend lost 10 lbs the first 2 weeks then gained 5 lbs back.
