I am exclusively pumping. When I give my baby just straight breastmilk he gets green diarrhea and a terrible diaper rash and is really fussy after eating. I switched to formula for a few days to see if it would make a difference. When I give him formula (Enfamil Gentlease) his stool returns to a mustard color and his rash clears up. What could be the problem?

As a truly last resort, my Manx is scheduled for surgery to remove her colon and have the small intestine re-sectioned. I understand the physiology of the lining cells re-purposing themselves. I would appreciate if anyone with experience could fill me in on recovery time (yes, I already know about the extended bout of diarrhea) Thank you

The doctor put me on 2 antibiotics, & 1 of the side effects is diarrhea. Today, it seemed like I was NEVER gonna get to get off the toilet! How can your body produce THAT much of diarrhea? & my stomach was hurting, & I had gas, too.
I can’t eat yogurt. I have trouble swallowing it.

She had a parasite in her intestines. The vet gave her flagyl which took it away. 3 weeks later she had diarrhea. They tested her feces but no parasite. The vet said to change her food. I now feed her Nutro for Seniors, no wet food, but she still has soft stools. She is 10 yrs old. Any suggestions?

I have had diarrhea several times a week for the past 7 months. I have also had blinding pain from my teeth for the past 7 months. I have been told I need to have the teeth cut out, and I am having that done on Monday. Is it possible that the diarrhea might stop after the surgery? I’ve lost 20 pounds already, and can’t afford to lose anymore. I’m down to 100 pounds and I’m 5’5.

I had an appendix surgery 3 days ago. After that, I have been having diarrhea. Does somebody know if this is normal?

By the way, this kind of diarrhea does not make my stomach hurt, as opposed to (I guess) a normal diarrhea.

For antibiotic associated diarrhea, my doctor tells me that eating yogurt is good for getting a lot of the good bacteria that antibiotics kill and that bananas and apple juice are good for replacing the potassium lost from diarrhea. Are there any other remedies that are good for treating antibiotic associated diarrhea?
