The acai berry, colon cleansing… something…?




You know, the one form Oprah and Dr. Oz, and where ever else its shown up at. I want to know a few things;
1. Does it actually work?
2. I never actually read the articles, but I caught wind that it is bad for long term use. True or false?
3. Is it okay to use to jump start a diet? I read, I believe it was a News 6 article, of a woman who lost 25 pounds in 4 weeks. If it can do that, then that’s just the motivation I need. After the 25 pounds, I’ll be off it and on to the normal healthy stuff like I want.
4. Where can I find it without ordering it online? Come on, I’m 18, I’m at my last year in high school, I still live with my parents (who are a few of the last people I want to know what I’m trying to do) and I don’t exactly have a bank account or whatever. BUT I do have a job, lol. So, would the products be easy to find in a store? Like, there’s one in the mall full of weird health supplements and stuff. Maybe?
5. What exactly is the RIGHT products for this? I’ve heard of ColoClean, Colon Cleanse, Acai Fit, Acai… something I can’t remember. What EXACTLY is the right products for this new hype?

Mind you, if it is actually unhealthy for long term uses, I just need the 25 in 4 and I’m calling it quits for sure. Even if it was okay for long term use, I’d still call it quits. So, no speeches and lectures are nessecary. Pleeeease ^-^

Hi, I am a 16 female and I really want to try the colon cleanse and acai berry together and see if I lose weight. Has anyone my age-ish tried this diet and found that it works? Or doesn’t? I am 150 pound and want to lose about 15-20. Also, do you know any places that sell them both in Melbourne and how much they are? Also, if you lost weight, how much and in what amount of time? Thanks :)

I’ve been a very unhealthy eater all of my life…it was passed down from my grandmother to mom to me, and I fear I’m passing it to my 6 year old son. Is there a way to change my eating habits, or a particular "diet" to follow that will basically help me make the switch to a healthier lifestyle? I feel like my body needs a detox, and I’m not necessarily talking about a colon cleanse, but a nutritional detox. I’ve got no idea where, or how, to start. Is there anyone out there that can give me some advice?? Thanks so much for your time!!

I haven’t made it through day 2 yet, but I’m pretty sure i will since it’s Sunday and the Pizza places have already closed. Damn. I’m really having some difficulty staying on this diet. The lemonade drink is NASTY! i can’t drink the least recommended intake of 6 servings because… well… it tastes HORRID. I want to cleanse my system, but at LEAST 10 days without food is a lot for me. i’ve never spent 24 hours before without drinking something good or eating.

Are there other ways to ‘cleanse’ my system? i recall reading somewhere where i can just take a day or two and drink only water plus take plenty of fibre pills. Does that work?

I’m just looking for other methods to cleanse my system. Even though I’m excited that i’ve lost 4 pounds already (I’m not obese but ‘at risk’ apparently).

Yes, i already know eating right too is a major factor ^_^

Master Cleanse diet ?




on the master cleanse you are taking in 400 calories a day .
what if i ate only 400 calories a day .
would i lose the same amount of weight as the master cleanse ?

dont tell me this diet is bad, blah blah blah .
i already know, this is just a jump start to a healthier lifestyle .

My doctor shot down all my ideas about correcting this problem. It’s been 3 years, most of which I was on a good combination of medicines that actually helped me go comfortably and empty efficiently, though i still had a back-up of stool.

That combination stopped working, and I’m on Amitiza, which is like putting a band-aid over the problem. I amcommittedd to clearing out the back-up of stool, and regainingfunctionalityy.

Is this possible? Have you done it? Can I do it?

will colonic irrigation help? Please, no more oral medicines, they all seem to not work on me anymore.

Again, my goal is to clear my back-up of stool out of my system and then regain functionality so I do not need medicine all the time.
I’ve had x-rays that show i have a large back-up of stool
I don’t expect to cure the IBS, just the Chronic Constipation. This was not a life-long problem for me. 3 years ago I went to a summer camp and they didn’t let us go to the bathroom and all the holding in caused this.

I just want to be able to go to the bathroom w/o medicines. I can maintain a IBS-friendly diet.

How do I cleanse my colon?




I am 17 years old, I have been having digestive problem over the past year. I don’t have a bowel movement after 1 pm, and the size of my stool decrease in size after a bowel movement. No pain, No inflammation. Its very difficult for me to have a bowel movement after the morning. Before all this, i had a bowel movement after eating. My digestive system was great , but not now. I consume a lot of fiber all the days. About 25-30 grams of fiber with some organic food in the day. I want to cleanse my colon for then my digestive system can return to normal function. I went to my doctor and she told me that i was ok, my digestive system is not good. But this is not the case. I tried Activia, it didn’t work for me, but i just liked the taste. I do try i can do a flush out with fruits and vegetable because i’ll lose weigh easily because i play soccer. I’m 5,7 about 130-135 pounds. I have been thinking of a natural colon cleanse supplement. But i don’t know with one. Does anybody know of a good colon cleanse? Is it a laxative? Or is there anyway to cleanse my colon? Not a week diet because i tried it and it didn’t try, it only made my weigh drop dramatically.

This is going to be TMI, so stop reading now if easily grossed out. I’ve cut out all meat and dairy products from my diet – it’s been about a week and a half so far.

Yesterday and today I have had gas so bad it looks like I’m a little pregnant.. my stomach is actually bloated and it’s killing me.

Is it all the fruit and veggies causing this? Will it go away or is there something I can do about it?

Also, perhaps I need my system cleaned out. Does anyone suggest a colonic cleansing once you’ve cut out all meat?

Best "diet" for someone who suffers from IBS?




I suffer from IBS and I feel that’s why I have alot of weight issues. I am 36 and have had three children, but it just seems like my weight keeps climbing. I’ve tried adding fiber to my diet as the doctor suggested but that doesn’t always work. I’ve been using a product called Dr. Natura as a natural colon cleansing system which has provided me with some interesting results. I have so far lost 9.5 lbs. in a two week period. Not bad but this product is expensive and I don’t want to have to use something forever. I also don’t know how safe it is to continue to use a product like this. (It’s a three part system, which includes capsules you take to kill the parasites, a powder you mix in juice (the fiber part), and a detoxifier tea).
