She had a parasite in her intestines. The vet gave her flagyl which took it away. 3 weeks later she had diarrhea. They tested her feces but no parasite. The vet said to change her food. I now feed her Nutro for Seniors, no wet food, but she still has soft stools. She is 10 yrs old. Any suggestions?

Question about bile after gallbladder removal?

Ever since my doctor told me I have multipile stones in my gallbladder I started to change my lifestyle. I eat all organic fruits and veggies, I eat only plant based oils like coconut oil, flax, hemp, etc. I am not eating any meat just sticking to whole foods that nature offers. So anyway I have been researching about the effects of bile after galllbladder removal.

What worries me is the constant dripping of bile after having no gallbladder. My doctor said it does NOT cause colon cancer in the long run if you eat healthy and exercise and eat a high fiber diet. But I wanted some advice from others and see what they think.

I eat 40 grams of fiber ( and drink plenty of water). I also read if you eat an even amount of insoluble and soluble fiber it will soak up all the excess bile that drips in colon. I read in the china study that a diet based on meats and junk foods will turn bile into secondary biles that are harmful to the linning of colon. But if you eat a diet based on whole foods bile will not form secondary (am not sure what that means but I think the bacteria(bad due to eat meat based diet) in the gut changes bile into toxic bile. But if you eat plenty of probiotics and whole foods that should help.

I

Lol i have been doing lots of research before I decide to get my gallbladder removed. But I would appreciate your opinion.

My doctor said keeping gallstones can cause other life threating conditions such as bile duct obstructio(which can cause scarring) pancreatis etc.

I know some of you might think you can flush them with olive oil and lemon and apples…but how do these substances get into the galllbadder they dont they pass into the intestines.

I have tried herbal supplements from wild harvest orgeans liver cleans.. I have been taking 3 caps for 1 month. I havent experienced a gallbladder attack yet. But I am going to get an ultrasound in a month to see if there is any inflammation.

I would appreciate any suggestions ..thank you!

I’ve bought this product Colon Cleanse, it’s supposed to be better than a laxative, however, I didn’t really see any results. I know my intenstines aren’t that clogged up either. Even though I know that we humans consume so much food over the years that some of that food is still hardened on the walls of our intestines. I’ve been taking for a week now and I haven’t noticed a smaller abdomen at all. Anyone taken this stuff other that myself, and what were you’re results? Did you feel lighter?

Want to know what NOT to feed a dog?

~Bones~ of any kind. They can splinter & puncture the trake or intestines or stomach or colon etc & can be fatal.Rawhide chewies are best but not for older dogs because they are harder to digest.
~Salt ~especially older dogs. Some dogfoods do not contain salt.We use Nutro senior.
~Chocolate~Is toxic & fatal,,can cause heart attack,,bad for nervous system,,liver & kidneys
~Grapes~ are toxic & can be fatal as is,,
~Raisins~&
~Onions~
~Dairy products~including milk cannot be digested as in humans
~No Spicey Foods~
~No Tomatos~ too acidy
~No Sugar~ can cause diabetes (including cookies & ice cream etc)
~No Bread~ turns into sugar
~Fruit ~ has no nutricianal value to a dog
~Small amount of potatoe occationally is ok
~Rice,,cooked veggies & boiled boneless beef/liver or chicken is good.Cool Completely. This is a good diet with a dog multi vitamin daily.

I thought a person with gastroparesis has problems emptying their intestines because the food moves too slowly. If that’s the case, then why can a person have diarrhea with gastroparesis? Wouldn’t that mean the food is moving quickly through the body, not slowly? Can somebody PLEASE explain it to me, because I just don’t understand.

I am on day 4 of the 10 day fast. I use the laxative tea at night and the sea salt water flush in the morning. My question is when is all the built up stuff from my intestines suppose to come out. When I do the sea salt flush it is just a bunch of water that comes out the other end. Is this normal? I know this is a gross question and I hope I didn’t offend or make anyone sick. Thanks for your help
