I just started a colon cleanse, but the whole point of it is that it absorbs everything in your intestines and then pushes it out.
But I don’t want my birth control absorbed out! Can I still take it and it be effective? Or if I woke up at 3 am in the morning (I take my last dose of colon cleanse stuff at 10 pm, the next one at 7 am) and took the BC would it still be effective?
thanks.

I think that I have a build-up of matter in my intestines, and I would like to see if the lemon cleanse will remove it after about 10 days. I am not looking to lose weight, per se, I want to really clean out my system of any toxic build-up, not just rinse clean. Will the lemon cleanse do this? And how soon should I expect to see the results?

Also, what are the links between serotonin levels and GI track activity? Would a person with clinical depression and anxiety issues have an imbalance of serotonin in his or her intestines that could cause IBS?
Would weight loss, rest and change of diet be likely to improve the irritable bowel symptoms of somebody who is experiencing IBS because of one of the two aforementioned reasons?
Should they drink diet soda or not?

I tend to get really painful cramps that last for a few seconds and make me feel like I’m gonna throw up but when it’s over I feel my intestines contracting and I feel like I have to poop. So how can you tell?

I have been searching for a colon cleansing system that really works. I wanted to get recommendations on which system or pills would actually make me feel "lighter" as some suggests and actually clean out the junk in my intestines.

We all know that not all medicines are cheap and there are natural ways or natural medicines that can cleanse your intestines and stomach effectively.
Any comments and suggestions are very welcome here! Thank you!

Flora refers to plant life. Fauna refers to animal life. When describing symbiotic microbial colonies in our intestines, the medical profession uses ‘Intestinal Flora’, which I find weird since bacteria are animals (use oxygen, exhale CO2) not plants. Why isn’t it ‘Intestinal Fauna’?
To follow up: isn’t yeast an animal too?
