Hello, Im doing the Master Cleanse Detox just to restart my system and make healthier choices but I wanted to know is it ok to buy a large amount of organic lemons so I dont have to keep running to the store. I plan to juice all the lemons at once and use the amount needed for the day then preserve the rest. Is that ok?

Okay, so I want to do the Master Cleanse diet for about 20 days. I’m no where near any organic store so, I hit up my Safeway and did my best.

I bought Lemons, not organic, but the Lemon Juice will be fresh. I also bought Cayenne Pepper. These two I don’t think will effect anything.

But here is where the substitutions start:

I was supposed to buy Celtic Sea Salt for the Salt Water Flush, but there was none. I instead bought Extra Coarse Sea Salt.

I was supposed to buy Organic Maple Syrup. I bought Log Cabin All Natural Syrup. While researching online after my purchase, I realized that there is false labeling on the bottle and that the syrup is only 4% Maple.

I really don’t have time to go shopping by myself and I had my heart set on starting the cleanse tomorrow cause I really need the effects by April 14th.

If there is anyone out there who has any knowledge on the Master Cleanse, can you please tell me which of these ingredients would be safe to keep and use for the cleanse and which ingredients to put back (if i have to put any back).

My father has offered to take me to Trader Joe’s, so should I wait to get the right ingredients then, or will these changes not effect them?

Please help!

Also, any of you who have done it, can you tell me:
1. How you long you did it and how you felt through out (i.e. dizziness at any point?)
2. How much weight you lost
3. If you did the Herbal Laxative Tea or the Salt Water Flush (do you need to do both?)

are they the same? because here in the Philippines, lemons are a bit pricey in groceries. I just want to ask if the contents of lemon that affects the effectiveness of cleansing in our body can be found and can be effective as lemon in CALAMANSI?

I recently attempted the Master Cleanse Diet AKA the Lemonade Diet. I got through the first part of the day with success. Although… I prepared my first glass of lemonade and tasted it and gagged. I prepared another putting a bit less of Cayenne Pepper. I figured if I watched myself drink the glass in the mirror I would be able to do it… half way through the glass… I was running to the toilet vomiting. I want to still do the diet… but I can NOT handle the Cayenne Pepper, the Rich Maple Syrup, nor Lemons. I will not touch any of them again. Lemonade is not my favorite. I do not even enjoy drinking it in my regular everyday diet. The Maple Syrup is not tasty. And the Cayenne Pepper is not tasty either. I am considering doing the same sort of diet… With all of the same traits. Substituting the Lemon juice with fresh Pomegranate Juice and taking a Cayenne Pepper tablet, and not using the Maple Syrup at all. Drinking 6-12 glasses of the mixture a day, Along with 8-12 glasses of water. Opinions ? Other alternatives? NO NEGATIVE OPINIONS OR SNOBBY. I do not care to hear a nurses perspective or the risks of doing this diet. Just people whom have had experience with this diet.

I am going on the master cleansing diet and i dont know where to find the ingredients…Is it just lemons, cayenne peper, the grade b maple syrup, and this laxitive tea? where do i find all this? please help.

I am planning to start the Master Cleanse Diet in a few days to lose about 10 pounds. The diet consists of only drinking maple syrup, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper powder for 14 days. I have a number of questions for anyone who has tried the diet. Please answer any or all of the following:
1. Does it work? Did you lose weight on the diet?
2. How long should I do the diet for?
3. Can I substitute lemon juice from the store for freshly squeezed lemons?
4. Can I substitute hot sauce for cayenne pepper powder?
5. Is the salt-water cleanse required?
6. If you take less of the mixture each day, will that affect your weight loss?

I am starting the master cleanse diet tomorrow and hoping to last for 10 days. My reasons are for weight loss and detoxing my body. I have a few questions for anyone who is knowledgeable about this diet or have tried it yourself:
Do I have to use everything organic? I have found organic lemons. However, I can’t seem to find organic maple syrup nor organic cayenne pepper. I understand that the point of the diet is to detox, hence, the organic ingredients. How important is this though?
Also, can I mix pure water with the lemon juice, maple and ceyenne pepper into one bottle? Or do I need to seperate the water with everything else and take "shots" of the lemon juice?
If anyone can share their experience with me then please feel free. Thank you!

Hello, i just wanted to ask you guys a question of the Master Cleanse Diet. My question is how long do you think it will take for me to lose up to at lease 20 pounds? Also, can i use any kind of maple syrup like any kind I have on my refridgerator? Or do i even have to really use the maple syrup? Also, what other kind of syrup can i use? Can i use the green lemons? and, if I dont have the juice squeezer can i just squeeze it out with my hands? Thanks!

I will be starting this diet this upcoming Monday. Today I bought everything I needed (the syrup, lemons, salt and pepper.)
I also bought Stanley Burroughs’ original book because I want to follow everything to the letter.
The Master Cleanse is a fast, and I know that, I know many people will tell me not to do it because it seems unhealthy but this is something I have already decided to do.
So.. please give me some type of advice or opinion.. preferably if you have donde the cleanse.
