What foods are good to eat while experiencing long term diarrhea due to a gastrointestinal infection? The stomach is fine and there is no nausea. What foods will help or atleast not aggrevate the diarrhea further? What foods should be avoided?

The "BRAT" diet…
Bananas
Rice
Apple Sauce
Toast
I would just stick with clear fluids like soup broth until it clears up, and keep drinking lots of fluids like water to avoid dehydration.
spicy foods and greasy foods are okay to eat while you’re sick.
true story.
long term diarrhea? you need to be checked out coz you might be loosing lots of fluids and electrolytes and get so dehydrated. for diarrhea, a brat diet(banana, rice, apple, tea).. avoid foods high in lactose and fiber for the meantime
Just plain broth, perhaps some toast. Remember to drink plenty of fluids to avoid becoming dehydrated. No soda, coffee, or alcohol!
Nothing spicy or caffine beause it will irrittate your stomach and make things worse.
